Brushy Mountain Smokehouse and Creamery is located in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains in the state’s northwestern corner. Once the home to Daniel Boone, Wilkes County has a rich past that saw the flourishing of many industries, from bootlegging Moonshine to the start of NASCAR, which was chartered in North Wilkesboro in 1949.
Sitting next to the Daniel Boone Trail Marker, a great stone arrowhead with plaques cast in steel from the U.S.S. Maine, the Brushy Mountain Smokehouse and Creamery pays homage to the history of the nearby Brushy Mountains with artifacts from the apple orchards, an authentic moonshine still, and vintage photographs from the early history of the North Wilkesboro Speedway. Folks come to the Smokehouse for the barbeque and to the Creamery for the freshest handcrafted ice cream.
Brushy Mountain Smokehouse and Creamery offers full service dining, take out, and professional catering services. Located at 201 Wilkesboro Boulevard in North Wilkesboro, the Brushy Mountain Smokehouse and Creamery is open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday for lunch and dinner, and on Sunday for a lunch buffet. We are closed Tuesdays.
The Smokehouse is a place where everyone feels comfortable, the atmosphere is casual and friendly and no reservations are required. It’s also a suitable environment for your family where children are welcome and those children under the age of four always eat free. We do not serve alcoholic beverages.
